Technical Support Engineer

Full time, 35 hours per week

Salary £32,305 per annum

Responsible for assisting the Head of Technology with the provision of IT services and support, the Technical Support Engineer will offer excellent customer service to the Cathedral’s users. A natural problem solver, they should have proven analytical and technical skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

We are seeking someone with experience of managing and administering Active Directory, Office 365 and CRM databases. Experience of working with mail automation tools such as Mailchimp would be an advantage.

Front of House Team - The Almonry Restaurant

3 posts available:

2 permanent posts, each 21 hours per week

1 casual post, hours as required

Hours on a rota basis during Almonry opening times, to include weekends.

Salary up to £12 per hour.

We are looking for enthusiastic, professional front of house staff to join our team, providing a fantastic and efficient table service to customers in our busy restaurant and tea rooms.

Chef (part time) - The Almonry Restaurant

14 hours in winter, 21 hours in summer (hours to include at least one weekend day, summer hours to ideally include Mondays)

Salary £12.53 per hour

We are looking for an experienced chef to join our kitchen team in our busy and well-known restaurant and tea rooms.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about food and cooking, with experience of working in a busy kitchen, and be able to work with a team to produce good quality dishes using seasonal and local produce.

West Tower Climb Lead (casual contract)

2 Weekend shifts (3 hours) every 4 weeks, on a rota basis as needed

Salary £12 per hour

We have a vacancy to join our friendly Visitor Experience team here at Ely Cathedral, to join the team leading our West Tower climb.

We are looking for suitable candidates capable of leading group tours up to the top of the West Tower, climbing the 288 steps to the top of the 66-metre tower.

The ideal candidate should be physically fit, as the role involves ascending and descending the tower multiple times each shift, they should also have excellent customer service skills and be an engaging communicator. Knowledge of first aid and health and safety would be an advantage, although full training will be given.
